FREMONT, CA: Provider of private cloud solutions, Accellion, has enhanced its kiteworks secure content platform by adding new security and governance capabilities. Since eradicating risk and demonstrating compliance has become important in corporate boardrooms, a new package is developed to assist enterprise organizations to manage, preserve and protect information.

“The rise of data breaches, reputational damage, and significant investor loss reinforce the fact that there is much at stake in today’s business environment. As a result, enterprises need to have better control and insight into how their information is accessed, shared and archived. Our new governance features provide IT departments and corporate directors these essential tools and, in turn, the assurance that their digital assets are properly controlled and retained,” quotes Vidhya Ranganathan, SVP for Products, Accellion.

The new version of the Accellion’s kiteworks Governance packages features eDiscovery, which enables enterprise organizations to fulfill legal requests for discovery by collecting relevant documents and metadata, computing all relevant content, keeping auditable logs; DLP integration, that gives high levels of governance and compliance by monitoring all shared documents based on corporate policy; and Kiteworks Governance package integration with Symantec, WebSense, Code Green,  Fidelis, and RSA.

One of the important highlights of the enhanced Kiteworks Governance package is its user-friendly DRM that prevents file downloads with view-only roles and stops unauthorized forwarding and printing through watermarking. Besides this, it also allows for the withdrawal of files even after they are sent; and Policy-based content retention, which enforces corporate-defined content retention policies to ensure appropriate maintenance and removal of documents.
