The company plans to scale the go-to-market capabilities and speed up product development to meet the rising market demands
Fremont, CA: DisruptOps, a SaaS-based cloud management platform and a leader in cloud security operations, has raised $9 million in Series A round of financing. Drive Capital led the round of funding with participation from the existing investor Rally Ventures. The company plans to scale the go-to-market capabilities and speed up product development to meet the rising market demands.
Organizations are rapidly migrating to the cloud because of its unbelievable business benefits like increased agility, flexibility, cost savings, and innovation. The only thing which these businesses are concerned about is security. The cloud environments are made up of multiple teams deploying hundreds of applications across multiple cloud accounts, thus leading to unmanaged risk. Moreover, Gartner predicts that around 99 percent of all cloud security failures are due to the customer's fault.
"As today's cloud-enabled businesses continue to increase adoption of cloud computing, security struggles to keep pace with the volume of security events and the coordination of the many teams involved in the response," said Jody Brazil, CEO of DisruptOps. "Our cloud-native platform is designed to ensure that organizations can take action quickly and effectively when identifying misconfigurations and threats. We're excited to partner with Drive Capital and our existing investors to secure every company in the cloud."
Besides building and operating autonomous infrastructure environments, DevOps and application teams need to develop a new security operations model. DisruptOps addresses this challenge with various security operations - providing security actions at the right time to the right team, and enabling them to decide and act. DisruptOps can be deployed in minutes, and it immediately enforces cloud security best practices, that can define global governance policies and work together with the rest of the organization to reduce the risk of cloud computing
"DisruptOps sits at the center of three technology mega-trends: Cloud, Security, and Automation. Enterprises are now experiencing the challenges of scaling their cloud security operations," said Andy Jenks, Partner at Drive Capital. "The ability for organizations to remediate cloud issues and quickly respond to attacks will completely change how these companies secure their cloud."
