Dell Technologies increased its stakes on information technology management, collaborating with VMware to roll out its infrastructure platforms with computing, storage, and networking services. Dell’s release of its new cloud platforms conveniently overlaps with the rising demand for hybrid cloud environments across enterprises and organizations.
As per Forrester Research’s report, almost 97 percent of large enterprises have embraced multi-cloud strategies, with 90 percent wanting to increase their investment in the coming years. Almost 60 percent of the enterprises admitted incompetency in managing the complex deployments of multiple cloud platforms.

Dell Technologies seized the opportunity to showcase its prowess in managing several new infrastructures at its world conference, offering to assist the customers in integrating their cloud platforms. It also unveiled the new VMware Cloud on Dell EMC platform, a subscription-based Data Center-as-a-service infrastructure that provides computing, storage, and networking software powered by vSphere and vSAN.
The Dell Technologies Cloud service is powered by Dell’s VxRail hyperconverged infrastructure servers, enabling the data centers of enterprises to link with a host of public cloud services to provide simplified operation and data portability using a hybrid cloud control plane. Dell offers several benefits to enterprises that hire it to manage their hybrid cloud infrastructure, such as greater efficiency in operating the familiar VMware tools and eliminating unnecessary costs associated with application re-platforming and reconfiguration of security tools.
Also, Dell’s Unified Workspace service is designed to assist companies in managing the plethora of devices used by the employees on a day-to-day basis. It will not only help in reducing the effort involved in tasks such as PC deployment, help desk requests, monitoring, and troubleshooting add up to hours but also enable the IT teams to refocus on digital information and value-added services. The Unified Workspace’s endpoint management capability is far superior to traditional PC lifecycle management, facilitating streamline application delivery, automated patching, and better device health monitoring and diagnostics.
