CHICAGO, ILIt is a pleasure for Ex Libris—a ProQuest company, to announce that Southern Adventist University (SAU) in Tennessee has selected Ex Libris Alma resource management solution and the Primo discovery and delivery solution, replacing the earlier EBSCO Discovery Service System, based on a ProQuest report.

Having run the Ex Libris Aleph integrated library system for over ten years, SAU was focused on remaining with the high quality technical and customer service standards of Ex Libris, while shifting to a cloud-based platform. Adopting Alma and Primo will allow the university to handle library operations across all materials and collections through a single solution, completely integrated with a discovery interfaces that exposes the university’s full wealth of collections.

Dan Maxwell, Library Director at SAU commented, “This was an easy decision for us to make. Ex Libris has been a trusted partner for the past decade, and we are confident that the Alma/Primo combination is right for us. We look forward to make the transition to a next generation library system, backed by the finest support team in the academic library market.”

“I am happy to see Southern Adventist University strengthening its relationship with Ex Libris through his decision to move to Alma and Primo. Due to its web-based architecture, Alma can be used by any type of library organization—from complex consortia to small institutions such as SAU. We look forward to seeing the teaching and learning that both solutions will bring to the faculty and students at Southern,” said Eric Hines, President of Ex Libris North America.
