Guilford County is able to drastically lower operating costs and investment on hardware, by moving their existing on-premise applications to the cloud. Further the decision makers of the county see benefits of migrating to the cloud by being able to leverage of Infor's cloud-based disaster recovery plan to safeguard County data and provide for business continuity.

For migration to Infor 10X platform Guilford County is provided with a simple, clear path by Infor UpgradeX. This migration to Infor 10x platform will be via a single tenant cloud deployment which is hosted through a strategic partnership that Infor has with Amazon Web Services (AWS) the benefits of which Infor passes onto its clients.
Through this approach the County decision-makers are able to leverage the most from a single point of contact to manage the specific needs of their IT portfolio. They were also able to align the county’s technology investment with a disaster recovery initiative by opting for cloud-based hosting.
For the future Guilford County plans to implement Infor ION, a purpose-built middleware application providing a fluid, streamlined approach that would be useful for managing the core processes of the County.
